About Cricket St. Thomas Golf Club…
Cricket St. Thomas Golf Club, in the heart of Somerset, has well over 80 years of Golf heritage and history. We are happy to accommodate golf club members and visitors to the club, and to the driving range. The golf course offers some truly amazing views of the surrounding areas of beautiful countryside and Somerset landscapes
Our Golf Course was originally designed as nine holes in 1932 by five-time Open Champion JH Taylor. It was extended to a fantastic 18-hole course in 1991 by Leonard Fisher, who owned the course from 1955-2007 after acquiring adjoining land. The challenging holes mean the Cricket St. Thomas Golf Club is regularly recognised as one of the best courses in the South West of the UK.
The greens are kept in the very best conditions by a team of extremely dedicated green keepers. The par 70 course has matured over the years into a beautiful parkland course with tree-lined fairways with tricky greens to test golf enthusiasts of all abilities. The course also benefits from excellent drainage all year round, which guarantees course availability throughout the calendar year.
Each year we work very hard to grow our membership and make sure we are welcoming to guests from everywhere. The facilities have been recently modernised for comfort, and we have a fantastic bar and relaxation area at the golf club.
We offer visitors use of all the facilities, such as the sports bar, the golf club restaurant, and our Cricket St. Thomas clubhouse.
Our Golf Driving range, which is open to club members and non-golf club members too, is a superb 300-yard driving range where you can practice with some great equipment and outstanding facilities.
You can practice hitting from the grass in the tee area or in the all-weather driving range area if the weather isn’t great on the day. Regardless of the skies above, you can be assured of the most peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
